checking in on my famous olivia twin ▲

remember that time when olivia thirlby stole my face?
well, seeing as how she's running around hollywood looking like me and stuff, i figure i should check in on her now and again.

imdb has informed me that olivia has several movies in the works.
....but liv, we need to talk about this.

i mean, one of the films is simply called "the movie" and the entire plot summary consists of "the story of a young man in los angeles." and that other one? "mystery white boy"? i mean, even imdb put a a bunch of question marks next to the title.

miss thirlby, our reputation is at stake!
but you know what? ima choose to trust your judgment.

and have you noticed all those foreign men always commenting on your facebook fan page telling you how sexy and talented you are? good work.

also, i dig your jewelry selections:

go get 'em liv and look good doing it,

album review: "RED" by Taylor Swift

you better believe i bought t. swizzle's new album first thing this a.m.

my thoughts:
overall, it's a pretty solid but predictable album.
it didn't go very much above and beyond Speak Now,
BUT since Speak Now was a great album, it totally still works.

and major kudos for including two duets on this album.

i did notice that she's incorporating more of the breathy sound she used on the hunger games soundtrack, a la this track with the civil wars.
and i am always a fan of anything with a civil wars vibe.

my favorite tracks:
begin again
state of grace
all too well
the last time

honorable mentions:
treacherous
i knew you were trouble
i almost do
holy ground
everything has changed

admittedly, i also have a soft spot for the notorious "we are never ever getting back together."

have you listened to the album?
(in all honesty i've had "begin again" on repeat since the single was released in september.)

Olivia Thirlby is my doppelganger.

it's true.
i, katie elizabeth hawkes, have a doppelganger.

in the past, i've always been left out when people change their profile pics to their celebrity lookalike.

and then there's people like nichelle,
who definitely looks like amy adams.

however,
this is olivia thirlby...

and this is me...

ok, so i'm smiling and she's not.
i will have to take pictures of me making her dramatic expressions.

but i promise, if you know me well enough you'd know...
THIS WOMAN HAS MY FACE.
and i am totally weirded out and amazed all at once.

do you have a doppelganger?

i would like a portion of olivia's acting paychecks yesthankyou,
katilda

O-L-Y-M-P-I-C-S-!-!

sooo...
have you kiddos been watching the olympics?

please say yes!

here's some of my rambling thoughts, in relation to...

...the opening ceremonies.
let's be honest, they were a little weird.
but my roommate did make this uh-mazing pie:

...the NBC announcers.
these guys weren't big on personal space, eh?
is it just me?

...michael phelps.
i love him, always forever.
gold medals or no gold medals.
and i've got a wheaties box from 04 to prove my love:

...ryan lochte.
i'm just not sure about this kid.
he seems a bit stuck on himself.
but maybe i am just biased?

[via]

...gymnastics.
what are the u.s. women doing with their hair?
that half-ponytail, half-bun loop thing?
i mean, i've been there.
...on sloppy days.
you're competing in the olympics!
on worldwide television!
seriously, slap some tidy braids on those heads.

these are all my thoughts for now.
yours?

in which i claim my rightful territory.

i'm not one for fangirling about celebrity crushes very often, but...
i have to make a statement.

before the dark knight rises...
before inception...
before 500 days of summer...
before 10 things i hate about you...
even before 3rd rock from the sun...
there was angels in the outfield.

...there was also maybe one episode of dr. quinn medicine woman.

you might say we were childhood sweethearts,
joseph gordon-levitt and myself.
just to clear things up for all the newcomer ladies in line.

*insert raised eyebrow and finger pointing around the room*

but hot hooverdam,
dark knight rises certainly fanned the old flame.

call me maybe, JGL?
